How to Train for a Marathon or Race

Dr. Peter Wishnie, an active runner, is also a podiatrist in Hillsborough and Piscataway, NJ. Dr. Wishnie just completed his first half marathon injury-free and in this video he describes how you can too. In order to have a successful race you need to make sure you have the right equipment, such as shoes and orthotics, but you also need a trained body!

Sorry, Doc. I know this post isn't about ingrown toenails, but I couldn't find an appropriate place to ask this question.

I have been doing some research on the subject of ingrown toenails as I think I need ingrown toenail surgery. I was reading a website called:

The Ingrown Toenail Surgery Guide and it discussed the Vandenbos procedure. What are your thoughts on the Vandenbos and its angle of treating overgrown skin as opposed to ingrown toenails?

I agree! I use to be an avid marathon runner, and your legs and feet need to be stretched and kept in good condition in order to complete a marathon. While I was training I visited a foot doctor in Calgary and was helped in healing my feet, which helped with my legs and knees as well.

I absolutely love running. I'm quite talented at it!I would be training for a marathon if I could but my podiatrist has warned against it. http://www.balancepodiatry.com.au/locations/perth-warwick-grove-shopping-centre
