Thanks so much for your blog and the information provided here. I really appreciate it! I don't know much about podiatrists but I am learning a little more.

This is so true. I met with my podiatrist in Calgary recently and he was telling me that the problems I was having with my knee were actually caused by things that were going on with my feet. I was really surprised by this but it turned out to be true.

It makes sense. If your feet are supported correctly, the entire body suffers for it.

I am flat footed and I think that contributes to all of my knee problems. Ever since I was in high school I have always had bad knees. I also wasn't able to run very far because it would hurt my arches.

I need to find a podiatrist who understands these things. I have recently started running more often. I can't tell where the pain I have been having is originating.

I didn't think runner's knee was caused by your feet. I knew some back pain is related to the feet, but this is news to me. I run a lot, so I should make sure that I have the right sole insert so I don't develop the runner's knee. http://www.chicagofeet.com/

I used to have a lot of issues with things like this When i ran track in high school. This video was really informative, and I liked it a lot. I have a brother who is still having these problems. I'm going to tell him about this stuff and hopefully he'll be able to get better.

I do have some pains in my knees when I go running. It had never occurred to me that the problem could be my feet. It should have considering my mother has to wear shoe inserts to help with her knee problems. Sometimes you just can't get away from your genetics. I'm just glad there are potential solutions.
